Yeah, you should be okay. Just don't complain if they explode.

I'm 135 lbs and I made my damn alloy front 32H 3x wheel pop a nip two days ago.

You'll be fine. As for stiffness, you have to try them first... and it also depends on your frame as opposed to just the wheels.

with a carbon rim that deep...no worries. there is a ton of stiffness without *any* spokes!

i'm in a similar weight class (+/-5, depending on fitness) and my primary wheels are 20/24 spokes with kinlin 30mm alloy rims. ~5k with zero issues and plenty stiff.

I think it depends on how you ride. I'm more of a sprinter type and like the stiffness of the extra 4 spokes. If yer JRA and/or climbing, then 24 should be plenty.

Last pair of road Zipps I had was 24/28 and was fine. Last pair of track Zipps were 24/24 and was fine.

Unless you're a serious racer - or like to look like one - there is no reason to go for an intrinsically weaker wheel. I'd go for the 28H wheel - though I much prefer a good 32 or 36 X3 - Laced.
