I just got a post that was advertised as 27.2 but its actually a 26.8. i got it on ebay for quite cheap $12 and if I decide not to use it I'll just resell it (ie it ain't worth the effort to send it back for a refund). My cannondale is a 27.2 and it tightens up fine (what's odd is that my ciocc which is also 27.2 it feels A LOT looser in it before tightening) but anyways I don't see it slipping and area where it tightens doesn't even seem "super pinched down". I haven't ridden it so maybe it will slip but I doubt it. Can anyone see this 0.4 mm difnce cause any problem on down the road?

if you have a cheap frame and the post is cheap, just shim it with some beer can material. make sure you grease everything up good. I have done this for years no problem, because you can get odd size posts for really cheap/free.

if you have a nice frame, go ahead and get the right post.
