I'm looking at vintage bikes to buy and I'm not sure if I should get a bike with 27" tires because I don't see them sold on my regular bike websites ?

Any advice or knowledge would be appreciated...

Thanks.

700c is the modern standard for road bikes. I believe that the 27" was a North American (i.e. Schwinn) standard more than a decade ago. 27" wheels and tires are available, but are not nearly as plentiful as 700c. A 27" bike can usually run 700c wheels with a brake adjustment or with long reach calipers. - TF

I agree. If you can, get the 700's. There are many, many more choices in rims, and particularly tires. If you are interested in getting good quality, light-weight tires, anything in 27" will be very difficult to find.
