8 sp cassette, 9 sp derailleur

Another of those "I just want to make sure" questions.

A bike with a 9 speed derailleur, but an 8 speed cassette should use an 8 speed chain, correct?

Ha! Beat you to it this time, PJ. I did check Sheldon's site, but his statement that using a narrower chain "rarely presents any problems" led me here to seek the wisdom/experience of the masses :)
Had an Shimano LX RD/SRAM R8 combo and used both 8-speed and 9-speed SRAM chains without any noticeable changes on my hybrid

Main reason I had a 9 speed chain because I thought I was going to finally get to moving up to 9-speed stuff. But I got lazy, got another bike, never found problems, and meh :p

Oh no, I would never doubt the wisdom of Sheldon. Marco43 did that once. Anyone remember Marco43??? Exactly. :)
