Hi all. I have just rebuilt my bike, shifters, casette and rd were worn out. I replaced all of the drivetrain minus the fd, thinking that my old shimano 105 was ok for 10 spd.
Now I have some problem with the fd, dropping the chain both inside and outside.
Is it just my adjusting that is bad or is the old 8 spd stuff that does not work together with 10 spd?

The cage on 10 speed stuff is much narrower than the 8 speed stuff. Because Shimano uses an indexed front shifter, it can cause "problems" if the chain is a lot narrower than the FD.
