I haven't tinkered with my road bike in a very long time, and haven't kept up with technology. I'm thinking about either upgrading my 2001 Litespeed Tuscany, or splurging for a new carbon bike. I like the custom wheels (Shimano 9 spd) on the Litespeed. Can they be used with a modern 10 speed drivetrain, or is the freehub body a different width? Either Shimano or SRAM - haven't decided.

You can put a 10 speed SRAM or Shimano cassette on a Shimano 9-speed compatible hub, but you cannot use a Shimano 11 speed cassette on it.
