My 58cm PedalForce QS2 weighed in at 1090g. They're $650. The same frame, or one that looks just like it, is sold as a Lightspeed, and as an Ibis. It rides nice. Not quite as nice as my Cervelo R3, but close. The only problem with it is that the rear tire clearance is limited... you'd better like 23mm tires.
In the "specials" section of the R&A Cycles website, they list some Casati aluminum frames--old stock--for great prices. I don't know the weight, but they are Dedaccai tubes, and Casati is a classic Italian framemaker. Secondarily, check out the other brands in the specials section, there are a bunch of them.
What would be the lightest frame for $900 or less....
probly will have to be used.....i was thinkin maybe a scott cr1
