I should have posted this a few weeks ago but our club has started a new KOM style climbing century series for Northern Cal and Northern NV riders.
Our Spring Century kicked things off on Sunday and we had our biggest turnout ever with about 20 doing the 100 mile/9,800 ft route and many more than that doing the Metric option. Riders came from as far away as the Bay Area, Sacto Davis and Reno.
There is one event per month from May thru September. Unlike some KOM series, you get 5 chances to finish 3 big climbing centuries. At the end of the series, riders get a frame-able Finisher Certificate, recognition on the Alta Alpina website and we have a Finishers Jersey design in progress.
