How tall are you JeffreyG , in australia 650s are not that popular but that size wheel does make good sense for some and makes a small bike look well proportioned. have you got normal sized (53/39) chainrings or something bigger ?

I am just shy of 5 foot 8 inches, 650c isn't popular in the States either, I can only think of one person I know who still rides them.

I went with 53/39 chainrings, a lot of people told me to go bigger to get the most out of the small wheels, but I will be using this bike for Olympic distance Tri's and Half Ironmans and I think I run the best when I can keep my cadence in the low 90s and I was affraid of getting bogged down with bigger gears. I did go with a 172.5 crank arm length instead of my regular 170mm though.
