Established in 2006, Küat Innovations is a Springfield, Missouri based bike rack firm founded by Luke Kuschmeader and Brian Atkinson. The partners aimed to engineer a lightweight, hand welded bike rack that was affordable and assembled in the USA. The results are Kat's Alpha and Beta series, featuring easy adjustability, locking hitch pins, cable bike locks for security, anti sway locks, adjustable carriages, tightening hitch cams and anti-theft construction.
Both racks are constructed of clear-coated aluminum, lightweight, and can fold down flat enough for storage behind a pickup truck seat. Küat racks are also designed to carry bikes of all types, including BMX bikes. Essentially, Küat's offers a better, more affordable bike rack than the competition. Küat is pronounced koo-at (rhymes with goo fat). It comes from combining the names of the two founders of the company, Luke KUschmeader and Brian ATkinson.
