Hey all. Well it's almost time for me to get a new rig. I'm coming off an Alu/Carb combo frame and looking to go full carbon this time around. The LBS's in the area are notorious for hiking up and not budging on prices. Many of us have been doing our business online for a while now for parts, nutrition, etc., but this would be a first for a complete setup over the net for me. My looking area is around $3,500. I came across a German company (Canyon) http://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/index.html?b=83 that has some pretty impressive statistics for their top of the line frame http://www.canyon.com/_en/roadbikes/testreport.html?test=21. I was almost set on the Canyon when today I came across the VO3 Aurora http://www.vo3bicycles.com/bikes.html also with Dura Ace but cheaper wheels for under $3,000. I was thinking about using the left over cash and getting another set of wheels to complete the VO3. The problem I'm facing is that VO3 is a very new company and I could use a little help if anybody has dealt with them or even seen the quality of the bike. With the Canyon I'm not worried because of the many articles that give great scores for the German frame. On the other hand the VO3 is less expensive and the owner's blog says their frame is made by the same company that puts out Look and BMC frames http://vo3bicycles.blogspot.com/2006/05/selecting-manufacturer-crucial.html. I'm borderline and could go either way at this point. Any suggestions? Thanks all!
