If you want the latest spec and you want it to be light, I think it's hard to beat the CAAD12 disc. I just bought one myself to build up. The other options I think are worth considering are Kinesis frames, which have all the latest tech (flat mount discs). They are heavier than the Cannondale.

The CAAD12 does not have eyelets to install fenders, and this is the reason I'll probably sell my frameset and go with a Kinesis. (PM me if you are interested). But if you don't want fenders, the CAAD12 can't be beat in terms of weight – plus, it's a frame that is well-respected.

Can you purchase the Giant Contend SL Disc as a frameset, or were you thinking of buying a complete bike and then stripping it down and building it back up?

I couldn't find a frameset weight either, though I did see that they made an aluminum frame a couple of years back that weighed just over 1kg. I would guess 1250g +/- 100, but that's a guess.
