Just wondering if there might be another way to combat doping.

If all riders had to publicly declare who their trainer was, and they could only use accredited trainers, you could suspend a rider if they used anyone who wasn't accredited by WADA or the UCI.

You'd still have testing in and out of competition, but riders couldn't even consult a trainer without announcing who they were using. If a trainer was found to be using dodgy methods he could lose his accreditation and be barred from the sport. If you had convictions like Ferrari has, the UCI could decline to issue a licence and riders couldn't use his services without risking an automatic suspension.

What do you think?

Handicaps maybe?.......everybody just fesses up and gets points assigned for doping....different dope gets different points (rEPO = 3, HGH = 2, and like that)

beer = 10 :D

too many beerz and you just get off the bike and join the fans........:eek:

b0nk

actually, just joking, cheaters will always find a way to cheat any system...so I vote for a risk / reward system that makes it not worth the risk .... i like the 4 yr ban idea, that's a career ender right there .....
