Does anyone know when the trail on the south side of the GO train yard to Cherry Street will be reopened? Signage says the trail will be reopened when the "project" is completed. The trail has been closed for at least two summers now.

Does not really matter. Just go a short distance south, then turn west on the north side of lakeshore to bypass it. Can't be more than an extra 50 M.

If you are heading west then it's better to cross lakeshore anyway at the lights on Lakeshore as the North side trail peters out.

"Cherry" street btw.

From the look of the city cycling map it looks like they may have just closed that little section completely.

LOL on the Cheery Street mistake.

I guess I'll have to pursue this further the 2016 Toronto "paper" cycling map shows a "minor" multi-use pathway where the signage staes the trail is closed. I'll have to look closer the next time I'm passing thru. Plus take a pic of the signage.

Looking at the parcel of land to the west (as you ride towards Lake Shore) there doesn't appear to be any construction going on, just a vacant lot. I've emailed Waterfront Toronto and will post any reply from them.
