I rescued a nice Colian custom with low mileage DA 7402 and a BB-7400 English 112mm. Found a nasty pit in the fixed cup from rust. Would love to find a new cup as bearing and shaft look great and keeping it stock is preferred but that looks difficult. Nothing on Bay now other than Italian and am not impressed with UN55. Will call Phil Wood on Monday and see what they can do. Any thing I am missing? Thanks

Phil Wood and forget about it. I've got a 7400 crankset and bb that I've had since 1991 in my winter trainer bike. The crankset is ugly with corrosion but it's all still so smooth and silent.

The UN71 BB is pretty good quality, if you can find it.

The UN91 is better, but i believe that it only came in 103 & 107mm sizes.

You could always use the sealed BB until you can find the proper one.....
You could always look for a fixed cup from a Shimano 600 BB. The fixed cup is pretty well hidden from view by the crank.
