DaveIT's post got me thinking.

http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?p=1594442&posted=1#post1594442

In my area there really aren't any host on warm showers. In fact there aren't all that many in Fort Worth, maybe two in my area.

www.warmshowers.org just in case some aren't familiar with it. It's basically a website for touring cyclist with links on a map that help you out when you're on tour. The host has options from just camping in the yard, to sag support and offering beds, showers, meals, etc... It's a great site and concept IMO. Just haven't really talked to anyone that's been a host.

Is anyone here a host for warm showers? If so what do you think about it. Any concerns? Have any proven true?

If not, what do you not like about it?

Mainly curious.

I have hosted people a couple of times, none of them have been a problem and we have made some really good friends.

We have had a couple of French people on a 10K trip around Australia, a Scotsman who was riding around the world, a Dutch rider riding around Australia, and another yong chap who actually stayed for a month to finish his Thesis.
