have a early 90's breezer that has a steel "noodle" around the seat tube for a rear cantilever brake.

Just wondered if there was anything I could use to protect cable rub in that thing? Pretty worn already and prob. anal about this but would like to protect the rubbing if possible>>>???

Small diameter plastic tubing variously known as housing liner. There are short pieces in the v-brake noodles, for example. Your LBS should have some.
