Was back in the early to mid 1980s. Only ever went to one of them, I think it was in 1984. Craploads of people attended (on their bikes, of course). I remember my dad and I rode our Cannondale mountain bikes (with the 24" rear wheels) there and back. People seemed to be really digging the whole bike message. I wonder where/how we all were led astray? One just doesn’t find that much enthusiasm among the masses about a feelgood concept of cycling for health, fun, and well-being anymore.
