Was poking around the web and saw some interesting bars by IRD. Aluminum bars but shaped like the CF $250+ ones, sort of ovalized on the tops. Called Blackbird Comp or something like that. $39.

i have a pair...

they're nice. a wee bit heavy, compared to other options, but for the money, well worth it. i definitely like the flat top. in fact, i built a bike this spring with a set of bars that did not have the flat top and i've decided i'll replace them with a set of the ird's or a set of the fsa wing pro bars. i'm much, much more comfortable with the extra resting area that the flat top bars provide.

Got 'em. Like 'em a lot. As was said, not the lightest things going, but the few grams difference is trivial. Like that they come in a true 46 c-c sizing, which I've not found in carbon. They also have a smaller drop than usual, and that was good for my fit. Many of the carbon 'wing' bars seem to have larger than usual drops, and I'm already low enough.

Recommended.
