I just crunched my formerly indestructible Nokia and now it is time for a new one.

I was wondering if anyone has used the Sports Tracker app. they offer to track speed, mileage, height etc... on the GPRS. Any good?

Is it worth the price of the fancy phone as a cheap bike computer?

Thanks!

I'm not sure of the application you are discussing, but check the fine print. It may be a subscription service, and it likely eats into your data plan. Might be false economy, and I doubt it does as well as a dedicated unit.

Plus, phones tend not to be very waterproof, don't mount to bars very conveniently, and GPS doesn't work well from a saddle bag. There are ways to make it work, but they tend to be fussy.
