so I was on my stairmaster last night for 35mins of "random intervals". at the end my average wattage was 255. does this translate at all to biking power/wattage?

BTW - I use the stairmaster 2-3 times/week between 8-9pm when the kids are asleep

To elaborate

Spunout gave you the short answer, and it is correct. The longer answer is that exercise machines are NOTORIOUSLY innacurate in their wattage/calorie estimates. To make the user feel better, those innacuracies typically are from gross overestimation. Beyond that, your power tends to be exercise specific because of the particular muscles engaged and the skills required for a given activity.
