Priceless. The Spanish finally find someone they decide to prosecute. They don't bother with all of their soccer players or mountain goats
From the article :

Spanish law does not make it a crime for an athlete to use performance enhancing drugs for personal use. In certain cases, athletes can be fined and have their licenses suspended.

However, if investigators can prove "trafficking, distribution and commercialization of doping drugs," that is a criminal offense carrying as many as two years in prison and fines of as much as 400,000 euros.

How dare he taint the cycling scene in Spain! It was, and is, as pure as the driven snow...Prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.

Seriously though, do they really want to open THAT can of worms?

What I'm interested in is the Ferrari trial. Italy actually does, at least somewhat, prosecute doping. Armstrong was a big fish, but dope Doctors are lynch pins.
