I'm thinking about upgrading from Askium Race's to Ksyrium Elite's (both 2010's). Besides saving a little weight would there be really much of an improvement?

My close-minded view is they've got less spokes than the Aksiums, and different grade materials to cut some weight...and if you're a heavy rider, I'd somewhat reconsider the move based on the spoke count.

I'm not saying they suck, though. You might feel that weight difference between the two wheels, but I'm not sure if it's an overall worthwhile consideration of an upgrade.

I own multiple Ksyriums of diff models.
Seriously doubt you could tell the difference if the labels were covered. Agree with MDC that there are better wheels out there for the $$ (retail).
