Going through some older bike rags I came upon a piece on the occasion of Hinault's 50th birthday. In it the writer waxes on about the Badger's place in history and he writes (paraphrased) that Hinault was an important link to cycling's modern to postmodern era ..he raced both Merckx and Armstrong. I cannot think of the circumstance or the race where Hinault raced LA ...anyone know..is this true?
peace
