I don't know but I can tell you I have a bamboo grove in my back yard and that shite is indestructible.

My guess is weight would approach that of a quality steel frame, maybe a little less.

I did a short ride on a bamboo bike on a stopover in Buenos Aires. A city touring company there had several of them as well as traditional MTBs. I have no idea of longevity but the ride could only be described as spongy. This was in 2011 or 2012 and it could be that the technology has improved since then.

The bike in the link looks far more refined.
Saw this Bamboo Bicycle Club sells kits that let you build your own bamboo bikes - Oct. 7, 2016 Neat idea. Has anyone here tried it? How does the weight of a bamboo frame compare with aluminum? Carbon fiber? What kind of life can one expect from a bamboo frame?
