Kind Sirs, can You help me figure it out? I just dont get it. There is this crankset
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FSA-Gossamer-Double-10sp-Road-Bike-Bicycle-Crankset-50-34-BB86-172-5mm-/151966494033?hash=item2361e8ad51:g:QTcAAOSwx-9WxgHv
that I like. But it has a 86bb type bottom bracket.
Now my frame has a usual threaded 68mm bottom bracket interface. What if I just buy the thing, toss out that bottom bracket and assemble the crankset with the bottom bracket that suits my frame? I mean is it at all possible?
Or the crankset itself has some kind of interface that only suits bb86?

Yes it's a standard FSA crankset, 24 mm spindle, that will work with a mega-exo external threaded BB.

You are just paying for a BB you don't need, so could always get the crank alone. It's not a rare thing.

saved Your link, think will refer to it later. So this means, Gossamer (alloy crank) would work fine with shimano bb.
Thanks a lot!
