I have a 2008 928 C2C with a compact chain set. It does not cope with the steepest hills I ride. Has any body out there done this conversion. The current chain set is the FSA as fitted on the stanadrd out the box bike with Compag Veloce shifters.

How bad are the hills where you live? You should be able to make it up just about any hill with a compact. I am a clydesdale at 212 lbs and not a good climber and I made it up up the most difficult part of Smugglers Notch hill in Vermont with my 928L and a compact. It is 3 miles at 7% incline. There is a short hill near me, about 1/3 of a mile that averages 12% with a part at 24% and I can make it up. It might just be a matter of getting stronger.
