Can anyone recommend a bike shop in the Northern Virginia area that does professional bike fittings? Also, if you have had a fitting done, do you think it was worth doing?
Thanks for any info.
Jim is one of the owners of Spokes Etc., and therefore probably doesn't do a lot of fittings these days but he did an excellent job fitting me (this was years ago). I like the serotta fit cycle that they use there too. Lots of shops do their fittings with a "fit kit" (a collection of measurin devices). I'm sure it works to get you within a centimeter or so of your proper fit, but there's no substitute for a guy or girl with a good eye for cycling form watching you pedal on the serotta cycle. IMO, you can dial in your fit almost to the millimeter on the fitcycle and a good fitter. Spokes should do a good job.
