Come do a bicycle tour in beautiful Sedona, Arizona on Sunday, May 3, 2009. The name of the tour is Mingus Mountain Madness and as the name implies the route goes from Sedona over Mingus Mountain to Prescott Valley and back to Sedona. Riders who complete the full ride will have ridden 108 miles and climbed over 12,000 feet in one day!!!
This is definitely not a tour for the timid.

This is a substitute ride for the Sedona Century so all proceeds go to benefit the Old Town Mission in Cottonwood. Interested riders should go to our web page at www.absolutebikes.net/sedona to link to the web page for the tour. Or, call Steve at Absolute Bikes, 877-284-1242 or 928-284-1242.

How many expected? Is there a police escort?

Hopefully around 400-500.

There will be police support through town on the way out of town and a sheriff directing traffic at Townsend Winona Road and Cosnino intersection, but other than that, no police escort is necessary.

Sorry....we've got 2 rides posted up here, (RBR), I I thought you were asking about the Taylor House Cancer Center Ride in Flagstaff.

I'll have Steve who runs our Sedona shop get a post up here to answer your questions.

Hi Zmudshark,

We're expect around 200 riders. There won't be police escort as this is a tour and not a race. All riders will be expected to ride by the rules of the road.
