Does anyone know where I can buy clear adhesive stickers that I can use to protect the frame from where it makes contact with the cables?
I know Lizardskins sells them (Lizardstore) but at $7 each, I am looking for a cheaper alternative.

My dealer gave me a sheet with the new bike but I don't like the pre-cut sizes and logos on them.

I used to use clear 3M vinyl tape from the hardware store, but lately I haven't been able to find the clear, only colors. It is fairly thick, cheap, easily replaced and works better than some of the stickers.

I haven't checked in years but have bought clear "Contact" sheets from the dept. store in the past. It is sold cheaply by the foot but isn't as thick as the vinyl tape. I'm planning to get some and cover the entire front of the downtube on my new bike.
