I bought a new Harley last two weeks ago. New to me, it's a '96 "bagger" -- Heritage Softail Classic, FLSTC. What isn't candy apple red is chrome plated or black leather.

Decent weather and 1,000 miles the first week I owned it.

Now it's raining, raining, overcast and grey.

But more significantly --

I signed up for a couple Harley Davidson forums and discover that these people have no literary skills. They talk about tires, oil changes, and suspension systems. But they never wax poetic about riding . . .

Mostly they can't spell.

I ain't gettin' no tattoos. But I could see myself headed for Sturgis in August.
