The Bloody Lane. What hallowed ground. That and the Cornfield are the most blood-soaked terrain on this continent. Gettysburg and Shilloh are close, but the carnage was more consentrated at Antietam. The sacrifice there was indeed unimaginable and really puts our present "problems" in perspective. Your pictures convey the beauty and solemnity of that battlefield. Looks like a great day for riding as well.
