I'm building up a bike on the cheap to give to a friend, using mostly an old 8speed Record group I have lying around. I've got two Italian threaded bottom brackets that would work (111mm) but of course the frame is English. I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice about the cheapest/most realistic of these three options:

1. Assuming Itl/Eng cups are interchangeable on these BBs, find some English cups for one of them.

2. Try to find an english BB of the same vintage on ebay or something.

3. Assuming the tapers are compatible, purchase a new 111mm Veloce BB.

Thanks for the help! If anyone wants to trade I'd be happy to work something out.
