Something I posted from another thread about the same topic...

I started out using Swiss Stop Yellows and always had squealing coming from the front. The braking surface was always clean, nothing was loose and tightened as it should be, I played around with toe-in and tried no toe-in, new pads, scuffing pads with fine sand paper and also tried putting miles on the pads hoping they would eventually "break in" and stop howling on descents. Yesterday before a race I thought I'd try the Reynold's pads that came with my wheels...no noise at all and they were predictable under hard braking. I'm not sure what it is but some people have good luck with a certain pad while another person using the same pad will say they did not...Why not try the supplied pads and if you don't like them, switch.
