So I'm in the middle of a new bike build on a sweet Look 585 optimum when amongst other things in the build I come across the uber-tight tolerances of the front brake caliper against my Edge 65 with 25s. The rear is fine the front is too close and the tire is just rubbing the underside of the caliper! grrr,,,, :mad2: really 25mm tires are too big. Ok tolerances are getting crazy.

Anybody now of a way to increase the gap between the front brake caliper and the tire-- other than going back to 23s. I have campy skeleton brakes so I was thinking maybe there is a brake out there that has a higher general clearance.

oh well, just venting a bit-- if anyone has any advice shout it out.

Crisis averted. I just needed to properly adjust the cabling and it pulled the caliper away enough to clear the tires. Phew!
