Just get some white ones and don't wash 'em.

No, seriously, there's always dye. As any college aged girl knows, clothing dye really DOES work (but note that can leave residue in the washer, hence the prohibition posted at most laundromats about using it).

Maybe just a LITTLE too much thinking there...?

[ I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed that in nearly 40 years of cycling, I've never once given the color of my socks a thought. But I was in REI yesterday looking for insoles for an old pair of hiking boots, and I must have seen 9 million brown socks, plus 15 million in lighter colors that could easily be dyed.
If you go the dye route, by the way, simmer them in a pot rather than using the washing machine. Instructions are on the box. You get more concentration, better control of the color and you don't have to run a load of water and bleach through the thing when you're done to clean out the excess dye.
