I'm getting a new De Rosa Dual frame in a week or so & have been accumulating the components (mostly Campy Record) to build it. I'll say straight off that this is a bit of an experiment for me, having only ridden Shimano stuff & not having much experience at all with the mechanics beyond regular bike maintenance. So time to get my hands dirty... with that in mind, I have a couple questions:

1) Does anyone know if I will be needing a Clamp or Braze front derailleur?

2) Are there different rear derailleur's for 9 speed & 10 speed? I bought a rear Derailleur (which I haven't received yet) but it made no mention of whether it was a 9 or 10 speed. I have since noticed on other websites an option to choose one or the other. Here is the link to the one that I bought:

3) The crankset that I bought (FSA Team Issue Carbon) listed it as "9 Speed" . Can this crank be used with a 10 speed setup as well?

Any help appreciated....

The derailleur shown is most certainly a 10-speed model.

The crank should work fine with a campy 10 drivetrain, just be sure to get the 108mm ISIS bottom bracket that is required. The FSA Plainum Pro Ti is available at www.wisecyclebuys.com for $85.

From the pictures, it looks like you need a clamp on derailleur, or you can also buy a braze-on adpater, but you need to know the diameter of the seat tube. Contact the place where you bought the frame for that information.
