guys,

i'm wondering what is the purpose of the recommended value of 7mm distance given by Campagnolo. According to the R/D manual, it states that it could have negative effect on 'snappy shifting'.

my original setting was set to Campy's spec at 7mm, but when i brought the bike for a tune-up by a Campagnolo pro mechanic, he actually fine tune it to approx 4mm distance. nevertheless the shifts weren't much different comparing to the 7mm distance.
i would say both the 7mm and 4mm were 'snappy' although the 4mm does somehow reduce the drivetrain noise.

feel free to share your thoughts/opinions if you have any :)

cheers
