Basically, my question is whether Cane Creek IS and Campy Hiddensets are supposed to be interchangeable.

I have a 2002 Lemond Victoire and was recently given a Campy Record Hiddenset (one of the recent carbon ones). When I pulled apart my Cane Creek IS headset and tried to put the Record headset in place of it, the cups do not fit. I haven't tried forcing them yet, but it doesn't seem like they should be press-fit or require a great deal of force.

If anyone knows whether this is supposed to work or not, I would be greatly appreciative.

nevermind

Nevermind, I found my answer on the forums. Turns out that IS and Campy are different internal headset standards. So much for getting to use the cool Record headset.
