I had a minor spill the other day but the front shifter took the brunt of the fall. The return spring for the finger shift lever is missing and the black housing is cracked.

Several questions.

Where can I get a repair and parts manual for the shifters?

Will a good 5min epoxy repair the cracked housing?

Where's the best place to get a new shifter?

Epoxy won't adhere well to the composite body.

You don't mention the year or model of the shifter, but it may prove wiser to just get a new one or new pair. Depends a lot on the mileage.

I get my repair parts here, but there are cheaper sources for pairs of shifters:

Campy has an exploded view of the shifter, but no repair instructions. I can e-mail you instructions, but this job is best suited for the mechanically adept.

Here's the pdf for the shifters, starting on page 54:

I cracked a body a couple years back, as I recall the replacement part was like $15.

But... you don't want to do this for the first time yourself. Find somebody who's done it before... I mailed my stuff to Hans Schneider in Texas because he knows more about this stuff then anybody else I've come across. PM me if you want his info.

I think the year is 04. I've seen two different p/n EC-RE432 and 332. I also need a spring #138.

I'm an aircraft mechanic and could probably handle the shifter. Somebody has a video of shifter disassembly and reassembly.

video...

Here's a link to the video, which is helpful, but not enough for most folks. There are quite a few small details that can be frustrating the first time you make a repair. If the levers are Record or Chorus, the body won't come with the ball bearings for the main pivot shaft, so the old ones will need to be removed reinstalled.
