could you explain your thought process here?I'm using Sora right now, which uses a thumbshifter to... upshift. That means I can't upshift while in the drops.
Could I switch the shifting just by switching where the cable goes?
Cool answer.ROFL That's all I have to say.
This, and yeah it won't do much for you in the end. Realistically one pretty much upshifts as much as they downshifts. You just need to find a shimano low normal (rapid rise) mtb derailleur I did this and it
works (but pretty pointless in the end)
Nop, unfortunately it's not possible, sorry...I'm using Sora right now, which uses a thumbshifter to... upshift. That means I can't upshift while in the drops.

This is a recurring theme for me: bicycles are not that complicated - if you'll just take a few minutes to observe what happens when you shift (or brake, pedal, steer, etc.) you can usually figure things out. It's like the people who repeatedly ask if they can put a 34 chain ring on their 53/39 cranks when simply looking at the small chain ring would make it obvious that it can't possibly happen.I'm using Sora right now, which uses a thumbshifter to... upshift. That means I can't upshift while in the drops.
