Does anyone know whether it is safe and/or recommended to ride a carbon frame on a trainer? Yesterday I put mine on my LBS trainer for a while, and noticed quite a bit of flex on the frame. I would hate to have it break. Your comments will be appreciated...

Carbon frames bikes are fine on the trainer. Carbon frames are not fragile by any means - despite widespread mythology to the contrary. As for the flex - well some carbon frames are made stiffer than others.

no problem...

I've never had a problem using a CF frame on a trainer. If you look closely, nearly all of what most people think is frame flex is actually the rear axle mounts in the trainer allowing the frame to move. The two cups that bear against the quick release always have some play in them , no matter how tight you clamp them.
