Hi All :)

I have some very nice sidi carbon shoes, the ergo 1's. I have a choice between look's £60 normal sprint pedals or the look's £100 carbon sprint pedals. Would it really make that much difference apart from 15 grams in weight  over £2 = $3 per gram loss! Or is carbon - carbon contact suppost to be really good, because I heard with a carbon rimmed wheel e.g. zipp 404's that carbon brake pads are recommended for maximum stopping force.

Any suggestions from anyones past experiance would be useful,

Thanks in advance.

Carbon is light and can be stiff for the weight. Hence carbon soles and carbon pedals. I don't think there is anything magical about the combination of carbon soles and carbon pedals, just that each by itself can be a good thing (although not all carbon pedals are as tough as others or some alloy pedals).
