Is it safe to use a lightweight all-carbon roadbike on a trainer? I'm in the process of buying a carbon bike and would like to sell my aluminum bike (to help pay for the new bike). I'll keep it if I can't use the carbon bike on the trainer. Thanks in advance.

I have heard some horror stories about carbon bikes on trainers but I use mine (Specialized Roubaix) on the trainer without issue so far. I am just careful not to get rough with it like if you get up out of the saddle to pedal just keep your body straight and pedal normally, don't try to throw the bike from side to side like you may do normally on a sprint.

I think as long as you are sensible about your training then you shouldn't have a problem.
