Ummmm, not sure if he has that sort of pull these days.mohair_chair said:I'm sure part of the deal was that they get rid of whoever designed the Footon-Servetto kits.
I don't know about the grand tours, but a healthy Cervelo Test Team can actually compete in the 1 day classics. They really should be able to build a powerhouse team around Haussler.roadie92 said:http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/carlos-sastre-signs-for-geox

I really enjoy watching Cervelo TT. They really animate races and race smart. On the team web site they have those videos posted up of their performances in MSR, PR, the Giro and the Tour, really good stuff. Van Poppel (the DS (sp?)) is constantly telling the riders in the bus before the start to "make the race as hard as possible" for the other teams. Sounds pretty basic but it's amazing how many other teams don't do that.MG537 said:I don't know about the grand tours, but a healthy Cervelo Test Team can actually compete in the 1 day classics. So now CTT is in the market for a good GC guy. Cadel would be perfect for a team like that and with domestiques like that -- not the team Cadel has at BMC.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/vroomen-praises-sastres-contribution-to-cerveloCervelo co-founder Gerard Vroomen has confirmed to Cyclingnews that the Cervelo TestTeam never in fact offered Carlos Sastre a contract for the coming season. The 35-year-old signed a two-year deal with Cervelo in 2009 and with no offer forthcoming and his deal about to expire, announced that he had signed a deal with Team Geox for 2011.
Apparently Thor agrees w/ you, Coolhand, although slightly less diplomatically (or sarcastically); "he has not really done crap the last two years"Coolhand said:I'm sure they will miss his stellar performances.
