I have a Cube Cyclocross bike with Shimano 105 groupset, CX50 crankset (36/46) and Tiagra 12-28 casette.
I find the gearing a bit high sometimes and would like to get a bot lower when climbing steep paths.
Is it possible to get a 34 tooth ring on the crank instead of the 36 tooth ? Or will I have to go for a 12-30 casette ?

Ok, thanks alot for the replies.
I havent seen a specific 34 tooth ring for sale for the CX50.
Can I use a 105 or Ultegra ring instead ?
Sure, just measure the bolt circle diameter, it is 110 I believe for a compact, then go to a shop or look on ebay. I suspect a lot of people go the other way and have 34's for sale.

YOu'll have to ask the LBS or call Shimano directly to see if a 34t (iirc, CX50 is 105 level) is a direct swap or not (FSA advises against it on my cross bike).

the Tiagra 4600 rear derailleur should be already suitable for 30T.
