I went to my first fitting (ever) yesterday, and found out a couple of things. One, I'm essentially a torso with feet. Two, I had my cleats positioned pretty far back on the shoe--about .75cm behind where the fitter placed them. With the cleats in that position, I have a pretty fast cadence (95 or so). Now that they've been moved, it seems I have slowed down a lot. Is that just muscle memory and re-learning?

A ProFit is great, but not perfect for everyone.
If they changed things around for you I'm sure it will feel different and may take time to get used to. Give it a while, and if you still feel 'slowed', check back with the Fitter.
Don't get discouraged. It is best to try small changes, and give them time for you adjustment to them.
Good Luck.
