Learn the techniques and strategies you need to be a successful cyclocross rider. Whether you are a beginner or a veteran, you will benefit from three hours of instruction plus an additional hour of Q&A with our coaches over lunch. Just two weeks before the start of the Chicago cyclocross season, its a perfect time to dig out your cross bike and sharpen your skills. Both morning and afternoon participants will participate in a one hour Q&A with Randy and Jeremy at noon.

Topics will include:

* Beginners will start with an introduction to what cross is, what to expect at a race and an explanation on licenses and categories.
* Handling Skills
* Starts
* Dismounts & Remounts
* Barriers
* Sand-Pit
* Run-ups & Shouldering
* Training strategies
* Race Tactics
* Equipment Choices

View the Illinois Institute of Technology Cycling Team website for more details about the clinic, directions, and for information on what the team has been up to.

All participants are required to bring a bike and wear their helmet at all times when they're riding around the IIT campus (before and after the event as well). We recommend bringing a water bottle or two as well, depending on the weather. Event wil be held rain or shine.
