Hi, I have a Salsa Chili Con Crosso that I'd like to take trail riding and I'd like to put something larger than 35mm tires on it. Anyone have any experience with bigger knobbies in this frame? I don't know how big a "monstercross" tire it can fit.

Thanks

Also, I should add that I'd prefer a full knobby tire to a hybrid tire since it'll be used ~100% off road. And if anyone knows a store in the Bay Area that has said tire in stock that'd be excellent since the ride that's motivating this search takes place this Saturday.

Hopefully someone has your frame and lots of tires or you're going to have to try it for yourself. Every company measures differently. My 35 Contis are smaller than my 30 Michelin Muds and my Muds are way bigger than my 30 Ritchey Speedmax. The "35" Michelin Mud is the fattest tire that will fit on my VooDoo Limba.
