Hi guys. I recently got off e-bay a very nice 9-speed "Chous " crank I will eventually install into my beloved '91 Tommasini once I finish amassing my parts. I was wondering if I should go with the "Chorus" bottom bracket or spring for the "Phil Wood" bb. I am looking for reliability and longevity, and dont want to be replacing bottom brackets 3000 miles down the road. My current "Shimano 600" bb has nearly 10,000 miles on it, and is great, but I'm switching to all "Campagnolo", which is more befitting to this bike. Thanks
~ also, was wondering if the "Athena" 8-speed rear derailluers were good, as compared to "Chorus" 8-speed. I will be going with NOS "Record" Synchro 2 shifters.
I dont race, am I'm not fast, but I do ride about 3000 miles a year.
